ABOUT NORM:
I am Norm Ruotanen, your neighborhood Republican Precinct Chairman for Precinct 408. I’m honored to serve our community and I’m running for reelection. Over the last term, I’ve worked to keep our local party strong by supporting election integrity, organizing volunteers, and keeping Republican voters informed and engaged.
As we enter the primary voting season, I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue serving you with experience and dedication. Consistent leadership helps preserve institutional knowledge and strengthens our party as we head into the 2026 election cycle.

Thank you for your support and for being an active part of our Republican community! I have been a seven-time active participating Taylor County Delegate at the Texas State Convention which is held every even year.
During these Conventions, we conservative MAGA delegates provided key votes in favor of rural conservative values and initiatives. On several key votes, Taylor County delegates carried conservative issues to the win.
I am the Taylor County Republican Party Chairman for the Resolution Subcommittee, which successfully authored a Censure Resolution for our State Representative for betraying the district voters on many well documented votes and other actions as our Representative in Austin. This Censure was adopted by the State Republican Executive Committee for formal Censure of our state rep at the State level.
It may seem unusual to see ten incumbent Precinct Chairman facing challengers this primary. Those are challenges to key conservative chairpersons who championed West Texas rural conservative values, including Censure of our State Representative. It has been widely reported that these challenges were “facilitated” by a key staff person to that representative. Apparently, there are some groups who wish to empower candidates who yearn for a return of the “old way” as exemplified by our challengers and perhaps even by a Clone of our disgraced prior State Rep. Our challenged incumbent Chairmen epitomize today’s MAGA values and goals.
Other Qualifications: B. S. degree, Master of Science, Engineering, Masters in Public Administration, Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot FAA Certified, retired Air Force Command Pilot, Life Member VFW post 5600. Local owner and founder of my SBA certified combat related Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.

ABOUT NORM:
● Norm has been a Precinct Chairman for PCT 408 for 14 yrs and a 7-time State RPT delegate.
● The most important thing to him is ensuring the continuation of “MAGA” despite democrat party’s targeting Texas with “blue” influence, and he serves as a precinct chair to implement and protect “MAGA” values.
● He believes that the most important thing we can do in our precinct is educate voters on upcoming elections and issues.I am a Republican because there is no alternative party which supports American moral values, the U S Constitution, personal freedoms, the 2nd Amendment.
● He believes that to be a good precinct chair, one must have leadership skills, communication skills, the willingness to commit time to Taylor County Republican Party activities.
● He is appreciative of his opportunity to serve Taylor County.
